s Jesus went along, the people were crowding him from every side .Among them was a woman who had suffered from severe bleeding for twelve years; she had spent all she had on doctors, but no one had been able to cure her. She came up in the crowd behind Jesus and touched the edge of his cloak, and her bleeding stopped at once. Jesus asked,¡± Who touched me?¡±

Everyone denied it , and Peter said, ¡°Master, the people are all around you and crowding in on you.¡±

But Jesus said, ¡°Someone touched me, for I knew it when power went out of me.¡± The woman saw that she had been found out, so she came trembling and threw herself at Jesus¡¯ feet. There in front of everybody, she told him why she had touched him and how she had been healed at once. Jesus said to her,¡± My daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace.¡± Luke8:42-48 TEV

We are living at a time when throngs of people more than ever before in the history of Christianity are crowding around Jesus while only few among them actually desire to make power contacts with His divine electricity.

For those in this power Contact, their light shines before all men, Matt. 5:16, their spiritual dynamo revolves with love, vibrancy and fervency of heart. Their physical bodies experience constant heat by the healing and vitalizing virtues from Christ. Their minds undergo constant renewal in God¡¯s word and the works of their hands prosper.

But for many in the midst of the crowd such as we see in Luke8; 40-48, who perhaps see Jesus only as a bread and fish multiplier for the satisfaction of their stomach or as a super celebrity and entertainer performing in church pulpits, crusades, conferences and seminar grounds and has nothing else to offer to their lives, it will always be difficult to draw anything tangible from Him.

These are only superficial followers and surface dwellers in the house of God. They are peripherally minded and aim at the shadow instead of the substance. They are adventurous folks who junket from one Church or Christian gathering to another and yet have nothing tangible and deep to explore in Christ for their lives.

Their singing, dancing, praying, love and faith are not in direct contact with the only source that can release virtues, power and anointing for the transformation needed in their lives. Some of them are signs and wonders seekers or religious sycophants who throng and chant slogans around God¡¯s anointed heroes yet without a relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.

But thank God, the bible says that among the crowd was ¡°a woman¡±, a purpose driven woman, a desperate seeker of Christ and His anointing that would crush her twelve year old Satanic yoke and bondage of constant bleeding. In every crowd of Jesus¡¯ followers today, there are always purpose driven ones who can not be stopped by their circumstances or environmental factors until they hit their targets at the helm of his garment; a place of transparent changes, revival and restoration.

They have come to a place of cognition and understanding in their lives that it is only a real and genuine faith and power contact with Jesus that make the difference. They might have spent all they had for many desperate years, like this woman, looking for solutions where there was none, and now having seen Jesus and the helm of His garment, they push up to Him with the same purpose driven and desperate attitude.

If any crowd of religious people, negative self-image, human tradition and philosophical ideas has swallowed you up and would not allow you come in direct contact with the Lord Jesus, I want you to see how desperate your case is and do something radical and urgent. You need to break through all barriers and push your way through to the helm of his garment and experience the power of a different touch.

If a sickly, dejected and abandoned woman lost in the midst of a wild throng and stampede could summon up courage and receive strength for the very push that released the power from the helm of His garment, you can do better. It all starts by believing in your heart just like this woman that if you touch the helm of His garment you would be made whole.

When Jesus turned around and asked, ¡°Who touched me¡±? They all denied ever touching Him not because they never actually touched Him, but because those touches were too superficial that they couldn¡¯t have drawn any power out of Christ. Friends, be sincere to your selves; you need a fresh power contact that will release virtues from Christ into your lives. What is the point claiming to have touched Jesus when there is no evidence to show for it? Jesus said ¡°Some one touched me for I knew it when power went out of me¡±

The bible said that when the woman saw that she had been found out and that she couldn¡¯t hide any more, she came out trembling and threw herself at the feet of Christ and in front of every body explaining why she did so and how she had been healed at once. If you press forward for the power of a different touch from today, your miracle must surely distinguish you from the crowd and advertise the goodness of God in your life in the presence of all.
